“I wasn’t always a ‘nutrition and lifestyle coach. ’As a kid I struggled with my weight while my brothers could eat whatever they liked and stay slim. I assumed it was just my metabolism.By my mid-30s I was dealing with constant bloating and stomach cramps, but I kept pushing through, thinking it was just something to live with.After having my two daughters, I decided to get fit and joined a local gym’s fitness programme. The eating plan—based on whole, natural foods—completely changed everything. Not only did I lose body fat, but the gut issues that had bothered me for years disappeared.That’s when I realised I had an intolerance to gluten and wheat, and that processed foods had been causing silent inflammation. Up to that point, I thought “healthy eating” meant counting calories. Learning about whole foods opened my eyes to how hidden sugars and so-called “healthy” products can quietly sabotage our bodies.Once I began fuelling my body with the right foods, it healed itself in ways I never expected.Today I use that knowledge and my own experience to help others who feel stuck in the same cycle of weight struggles, gut issues, stress eating or confusion about what’s truly healthy.
